RE: Racing canceled
Would have been nice to get an email not a message half way down a home page that no one reads. Let people know if you are going to only post on the home page and change it so news is at the top of the page.

RE: Racing canceled
I'm sorry but with no internet access at my house to FTP any changes to a web page, or e-mail people how am I supposed to do that?

The message is on the home page (which gets a good few thousand hits a month, not my fault if you don't read it), site news on the forum which is top of the page and posted by Derek under General. The forum also uses RSS feeds so you can quite easily bookmark the feed to get instant updates to your browser.

Your issue is with the sports centre, not me I didn't even know until Derek called me 3/4pm at my work. I will be taking this issue up with the manager tomorrow.

RE: Racing canceled
Keiran you are doing a great job of running the club, it is unfortunate that the sports centre mismanaged this weeks booking, let us know if you get anywhere when you speak to them.

Don't give any negative comments a second thought as we all know without you there would be no GRCC and all who come to race should check the website prior to leaving the house, if they didn't know before they do now. In no way is it your failing, it is theirs.

You've seen me get wound up by similar comments in the past, don't let them spoil it for you, best thing to do is ignore them.

Cheers and thanks for all your hard work - the way I look at this weeks cancellation is that it makes me look forward to the next meeting that little bit more.

Dan

RE: Racing canceled
KX2, I know its frustrating if you turn up and its cancelled, as I too was one of these unfortunate souls. But quite a lot of folk read the website, so it is up to the rest of us to check it for updates. Not everyone can be contacted easily, so its the most effective method to use.

At least its not a 5 hour round trip like my wasted journey to Falkirk Buggy Club, which was called off on the morning of the racing, which unlike GRCC, no-one had bothered to put on the website (I did check before I left in this instance). That was a long and angry drive home, I can tell you!!!!

RE: Racing canceled
Yup, very annoying, and very expensive once you pay for a full tank of fuel and a (suspected) speeding ticket on the way home.
