Last Sunday (4th October) saw the first round of the clubs 2009/10 season. The biggest change to this season is that for the first time ever the club now only has a overall and junior championship, rather than a junior and senior. This now means that if the seniors are to win the championship they have to beat everyone on the track, not just other senior racers.
Bruce Noble set out to defend his title as last years club champion and did so in style taking a maximum score away from the meeting. Biting at his heels was Keiran Smart, the pair dueled through out the final. Swapping positions on a few occasions but Bruce took the buzzer in the end 3 seconds ahead. Ben Bowring drove a very consistent and steady race picking up two places during the race to finish third. Peter Eagles continues to impress and made it through to the A-final where he finished 5th, well done Peter!!
Next meeting is the 18th October @ 1pm.
