One or two on here who know me better might know of my involvement in the Music industry over the years, I've roadied for bands for almost 40yrs I have managed several young bands and I play in a blues band, and still work for Aberdeen Prog Legends Pallas

I have just organised an Aberdeen gig for Pallas, the first for a long time, and this will be a historic and very special occasion. The band have a new singer as their previous vocalist and Pallas parted ways after 25yrs and this will be his debut.
Pallas have a huge worldwide fanbase and play sell out shows all over Europe and the US but strangely dont pull huge crowds in their home town... well thats not 100% true, they played to a sell out crowd in the Capital in 1984 on their first tour after signing to EMI.

This show will be at The Tunnels on 23rd of April with support from Aberdeen singer songwriter Jo McCafferty, tickets are £5 and its worth coming along, they are a stunning live band...

Have a look at their website or look for them on youtube...

92 people have read this.... 92!!

where do 92 come from on here?

428 views... bleedin hell... if half of that number turned up at the gig it would be busy...

Tickets are now on sale at 1up records or from me... £5

Support comes from Jo McCafferty, she's a singer/songwriter of some note and has toured all over the country... well worth checking out.

I love Pallas!!

In the late 80's..im thinking it was probably 1988 or 89 I was working as a designer/printer at Sime Malloch's in Aberdeen and My boss Mike Bently (if I remember his name right, sorry Mike if I got that wrong) asked me to work with him putting together a new album cover and poster for Pallas, I think he was connect to the band somehow, maybe...

Anyway...what an honour that was, can't for the life of me remember what it was for but I used elements from the Sentinal and actually re-created that artwork from scratch to get certain things done.

Good times...damn good times...

What's kinda bizzar is my current Boss is Dave Jones, creator of Grand Theft Auto... And the new lead singer of Pallas, Paul Mackie sang on various soundtracks for GTA Smile .. dunno about anyone else but I find that freaky LOL
