Hi Wuzie and Kieran,

It can be confusing with what to buy if you are just starting out. I came back to racing after having done it earlier when I was at school, but technology had moved on so much, it was almost like starting from scratch. The best thing to do is come along on Sunday and ask as many questions as you can. Then you will see what everyone else uses to give you a better idea. Or you can post a list of questions on here (I think I did that when I first started here). THeres always someone willing to help.

As graeme mentioned above, a fast charger is a good investment as the races are quite frequent. Most people are buying Lipo batteries these days (myself included) and while they are more expensive than Ni-mh's, they hold more charge and last longer. I personally use only 2 lipos for my days racing. But upto the middle of last year I was using Ni-mh's, so dont worry if you aready have these. They will be fine.

Like I said before, keep your eye for me and my white super hearse (Vectra estate) and I can try and answer all you other questions too.

Hi Doug,
If you look on this map http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&hl=en&...=addr&om=1 the sports centre we race in is located across from the Aberdeenshire Disability Action dot on the map.

Regards
Keiran

I wouldnt worry about that in the short term, the club will be only too happy for you to run the supplied shell untill you see what others run and choose a shell you like.

Quote from the calander....

"Racing starts at 1pm and finishes at 5pm. Racers please make sure you are there by 12.45pm to help setup."
