So that’s it once again for another year! What a great days racing and once again thank you all for taking part, especially the guys from Shetland and Dundee. I think a well done is in order for all who took part, the driving standards were pretty clean with only a few bits of contact here and there.
So onto the race! Team LaDomma and Shetland A were fighting hard from the word go but Shetland A appeared to hit trouble early on and struggled to recover the lost time. The Dundee team fell back a bit early on but came strong in the last hour or so and really started to apply the pressure to the Shetland A guys. It was a very tense battle, after 4 hours of racing they were sharing the same lap into the last 10mins or so of the race. The Dundee team managed to overcome them and steal second place in the closing minutes of the race. Team Tortoise had a steady race, finishing 4th with Team Scotlish Bits `n Bobs following them home in 5th. The Shetland B team finished 6th with the three man team SDI Racing taking 7th. Team LaDomma finally did it! The last three attempts have seen them finish on the podium but this time they went one better, well done guys! There was a bit of debate of whether Team LaDomma had managed to break the record of most laps in the 4 hour endurance… it’s close! They were 2.24secs away from matching Falkirks 1014 recorded last year.
